Tree of Love planted:
On Thursday, November 17, 2011,
Hospice Caring's living evergreen Tree of Love was planted
in Bohrer Park, just downhill from the Hospice Caring
Cottage.
2011 Tree of Love ceremony
Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011
5:30 p.m.
Good Shepherd Lutheran
Church
16420 S. Westland Drive
Gaithersburg, MD 20877
Tree of Love ceremony:
The Tree of Love is a nondenominational ceremony honoring
those who have touched our lives. Local musicians and
volunteers share musical selections, responsive readings,
personal memories, and poems as candles are lit in memory of
parents, siblings, children, spouses, and friends. Most
significant, the precious names of these loved ones are read
aloud. The event lasts approximately one hour.
Participation:
Attend:
This
event is open and free to the public. We would love for you
to join us at this ceremony.
Sponsor a loved one's name:
Every
remembrance makes the world a little brighter! Contributing to
the lighting of the Tree of Love is a beautiful way to honor and
remember those who have touched our lives in ways for which we
will be forever grateful.
If you wish to sponsor a name to be read, you may complete the
registration form and send a specified small donation. Names
received by the printing deadline will be printed in the event
program.
Sponsor the Tree of Love program:
Local organizations sponsor the refreshments, flowers and
plants, program printing, and event-related mailings. If you
would like to help, please contact us.
The names of the sponsoring organizations are printed in the event
program.
Volunteers:
Many Hospice Caring volunteers, including guest musicians, donate
their time and talents to the Tree of Love event.
