Our Mission

Hospice Caring provides caring, compassionate, practical and high-quality, non-medical support services, without charge, to Montgomery County adults and children facing a life-threatening illness or grieving the death of a loved one.

Our Vision
Hospice Caring envisions a community that accepts death as a part of life; where the processes of dying and grieving are embraced without stigma; where everyone has access to support services without charge; and where no patient dies alone and no one grieves without support.

Developing an Integrated Palliative Care System in Montgomery County
Hospice Caring, Inc., is proud to have been awarded a grant from the Healthcare Initiative Foundation to support our work in partnership with Montgomery County Area Agency on Aging and other stakeholders in the end-of-life services community.  The grant will enable the Montgomery County Coalition for Care at the End of Life to create a community vision for palliative care for those facing serious advanced illness and a plan for its implementation, including at end of life. Hospice Caring to Lead Widowed Persons Service Support Groups
Hospice Caring has recently assumed the leadership for three widowed persons’ support groups, formerly run by the Widowed Persons Service of Montgomery County (WPS). Since its inception in 1979, WPS has organized and staffed support groups for widowed persons in Montgomery County, providing emotional support, referrals for other services, and community education regarding the needs of widowed persons. WPS ceased operations as of June 30, 2017. Hospice Caring has opened a satellite office in Holiday Park Senior Center in Rockville to coordinate the administration and registration for these support groups. The grief support groups are available free of charge to anyone in the community who has experienced the death of a spouse or partner.
